Dear friends. This is laid heavy upon me. How much we need to pray! The Lord wants to hear the cries of our hearts! He wants us to ask great things of his great Name. He wants us to ask boldly in the name of Jesus, believing that God can and will provide. He wants us to pray for the healing of those in our group, those we encounter. Friends, the Lord wants us to be bold in our prayer and in our faith. We are called to be conduits of His Spirit and listeners of His heart.
What does your heart cry out for? Ask God for it.
My son jumped in my lap and i picked him up in my arms and tossed him in the air. He loved that so much. I said, “What is that in your pocket?” He said, “Oh Dad, I want to show you what I want for my birthday.” He was so excited as he pulled out the magazine and showed me this bike. I could see the excitement in his eyes and his voice with such confidence. “Yes that is an awesome bike” “Dad I want this bike with all my heart. What do you think of it, Dad?” Oh son i want to give you the desires of your heart. I could see his faith arise. It actually pleased my heart to see this much zeal and excitement in him. I said, “Son, that is seven months away until your birthday. you may lose interest over time. But if you show that much faith and zeal, that excites me too.” Later, I was curious to see if my son was still excited about this future gift from his father. As i walked upstairs to his room, I saw pictures on his wall of new bike. “Dad, look! I decided to put these pictures on my wall to remind me everyday what i have to look forward to in the near future.” “Son, I just want you to know I love you so much and good things are coming. Now remember that my will is your will. I give you certain desires because I can feel your energy of faith. Just trust in me.”
