Hey there!  I’m
SO glad to finally join this incredible crew in posting some info on here.  My name is  CONTACT _Con-3C8BDBAE1 c s l Keri LaBrant, I’m currently living in
Durham, NC where I go to school, but I’m originally from (and going back to!) Seminole/Largo/Clearwater,
FL.  I’m in seminary right now and
planning to start new churches in the United Methodist Church after I graduate
and perhaps (God willing!) be involved with some international missions as
well.  My three passions in life
are God, people, and music – and I especially love when those three things get
to come together.  I am so excited
that there are other musicians in our Jamaica-bound crew-di-crew!  My main gig is singing but that’s been
a rough road the last few years so piano has come to the forefront a little bit
more, which is fine with me because I LOVE me some piano
music.  haha.  (I play a bit of guitar too and, depending on packing restrictions, may just bring mine! – to answer your question Elijah!)  I’m an only child, but I’m told I don’t act like one – whatever that means! hahaha – and I love my family, especially spending time with my younger cousins.  I’m a beach girl by birth but I’d much rather be there at night than during the day and I’m finding out more and more how much I love the simple life (not Paris Hilton’s version – the real thing).  Bring me to the mountains or the beach, give me some music, a frisbee (I love ultimate!), some good people, and a book or two and I’m set for life.

I am in awe of the way God opened doors
for me to help lead this trip and I cannot WAIT to see the things He is going
to do in our lives.  I’m praying
for all of you and for us and the people we’ll meet along the way.  Can’t wait to meet y’all!

*Disclaimer:  I’m in the middle of a crazy school workload right now because the semester’s so I might be a little but distant over the next couple of weeks, but I’ll be back, I promise!  🙂

And since you guys have been inspiring me to post a verse, this seems to be the theme standing out right now:

“God chose what is foolish in the world to shame the wise;
God chose what is weak in the world to shame the strong…so that no human being
might boast in the presence of God.
Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”
 1 Corinthians 1:28-30
